For 'dance kids who want to rock and rock kids who want to dance', Ibiza was the only place to be on 20th July 2010 when Ibiza Rocks celebrated its 5th birthday with a fantastic line up.
The famous White Isle simply pulsated with innovative live music from top-notch bands including special guests South Central, hosted by Radio One DJ Rob Da Bank.
If you missed it, fret not. This was just one event of a spectacular programme for summer 2010. With cheap flights to Ibiza, you can catch terrific acts any Tuesday night at the hot resort between now and the end of August.
Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, LCD Soundsystem, The Kooks, Florence and the Machine, Kissy Sellout, The Drums, Kele and Delphic - all just some of the terrific artists booked to appear over the height of the holiday season, supported by international DJs.
And then there are Wednesdays, when rock hits Ibiza Rock’s famous club scene and - cue drumbeat - entry costs start at a very cool €20. Now everyone can afford to ‘Reclaim the dance floor’.
Could things get any better? Actually yes. The Ibiza Rocks concept is highly contagious and has now spread to Magaluf, the hot spot centre of neighbouring Mallorca which now boasts a brilliant new music venue with live bands and a terrific atmosphere.
