Tony Hallwood Leeds Bradford International Airport's (LBIA) Commercial Director will be 'flying the flag' for the Leeds City Region at the 15th World Route Development Conference to be held in Beijing next week. 1,000 airline and airport delegates from across the world will meet in the Chinese capital to discuss new route development opportunities and LBIA will be meeting 18 carefully selected airlines to encourage the introduction of new destinations from Yorkshire's international gateway airport. Top level meetings with American and Middle Eastern airlines will be undertaken to encourage the introduction of LBIA as a new destination on their worldwide route network. In addition airlinks with key cities in Germany and Eastern Europe will be a priority for discussion with a number of scheduled carriers.
